we went to see some contemporary greek orchestra play at the opera house downtown, in athens. it was good but i have no idea what it was. i have the program but it’s all in greek. we went to applebee’s after. i had a burger rapped in a tortilla. it was the second-most cultured thing i consumed today.

thanasis thought that the star wars poster was so cool. i tried to tell him that we have this kind of thing back home but he was not listening, hence my dissatisfied expression.
i will also be turning 21 in a few hours. i think that is a good thing…
all to myself. having a sexy little Mexican themed night. just woke up from a nap. my throat has been getting a little sore (probably not the best night to dive into some HOT fire roasted chile con queso and tortillas), but i gargled vigorously with some hot sea salt water and have dos cervezas from LUPE PINTOS DELI, which is a cool little place just down the way about 10 mins that specializes in small american imports (e.g.: hershey’s syrup [which i have too]; mexican beer [which you cannot find at a regular store, maybe Sol or Corona]; hershey’s chocolate of all sorts; marshmallows; Bick’s pickes; MARSHMALLOW FLUFF BY THE TUB) and south of the border foods, salsas, sauces and tortillas and chips and basically anything you really need for a mexican themed night or party or whatever. So. I stopped in there and now I am enjoying a snack and blogging, which I realize i have not done for a long while…
For those of you left still following this blog: I will post a full update after the Canadian hockey intensity subsides and all expats are fully satisfied.

A few things. I didn’t really do a lot today. Or, more accurately, I haven’t really been up long enough to do anything. But I did manage to make a few discoveries…
